Meteosat Satellite

Meteosat is a series of geostationary meteorological satellites built and launched by ESA, which is operated and developed by the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT). They are in geostationary orbit above the Atlantic Ocean and provide weather information to Africa and Europe.

Meteo for Energy uses the images of the Meteosat satellites to monitor Europe, Africa and the Middle and Middle East. These satellites are geostationary and take pictures every 15 minutes giving real time information of the area of interest. With these images, Meteo for Energy has developed different services, such as cloud forecasting, fire detection, typical meteorologicañ year calculation (TMY), etc.

For objectives that require greater spatial resolution we use the Copernicus and MODIS polar satellites.

Artificial Intelligence

Machine learning is a methodology by which systems are intended to learn automatically based on historical data.

It consists of identifying complex patterns in millions of data to achieve predictions as reliable as possible. Extracting valuable information is a competitive advantage today.

It is the set of methodologies, applications and technologies that allow you to discover patterns in large volumes of data sets. It uses the methods of artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics and database systems, for its direct exploitation or for its analysis and conversion into knowledge, thus supporting the decision making on the business.

GIS Platform

A geographic information system (also known as GIS ) is a set of tools that integrates and relates various components (users, hardware, software, processes) that allow the organization, storage, manipulation, analysis and modeling of large amounts of data.

Through the geographic information systems or GIS in the different Meteo for Energy platforms, users can see and alayze the information in a dynamic, intuitive and much easier to understand way.

Visualizing data on an interactive map helps to contextualize and understand them in a simple way.

Business intelligence

Business intelligence includes a set of methodologies, applications and technologies that allow to collecting, cleansing and transforming data from transactional systems and unstructured information (internal and external to the company) into structured information, for direct exploitation (reporting, alerts ...) or for its analysis and conversion into knowledge, thus supporting decision making about the business.
